Argilla of Digital Devil Saga was a young a woman in an urban warfare simulation known to its creators as the Asura Project and to the AI denizens as the Junkyard. There she used her sniper rifle to support her tribe, the Embryon, in an endless war to destroy all other tribes. The winners were promised to be able to ascend to Nirvana.

She became a cannibal demon one day when a light descended from the sky and infected all of the Junkyard's citizens. She got her first awareness of self when she denied the truth of having eaten others with such vehemence that she shot off a few heads in the process. After that, it takes Argilla a while to accept her new self enough to eat others to survive.

Over her left breast is the mark of her atma, Seismic Wave, which marks her as an earth elemental. Though she can learn other attacks, she is strongest against Earth and weakest against Wind. She is a mage at heart and tends to dump all of her ability points into magic, leaving her with devastating magical attacks but weak physical ones. As the player plays her, Argilla has primary acces to the Tera, Agi and Dia spell lines.

The name of her demon form is Prithivi. A tall and tanly camouflaged colored demon whose arms unravel into whips with spikes between the fingers, and has a mouth in each breast. In this form she does both talk and devour with her breasts.

Due to events of the games Argilla is a bit jaded and due to her personality she tends to respond to negative situations with violence. But overall she is a peaceful and understanding woman, who would rather resolve things with words than death. She is deeply hurt by what she is, and wishes nothing more than to return to being only human, and believes that in Nirvana she can achieve this. Until then, she uses her abilities to their fullest, rather than shunning them, and no longer hesitates to kill those who pass up their first chance of negotiating peacefully.

In camp Argilla has found the closest thing to Nirvana she is likely to ever get. For the first time in her life is not at war, and people here not shun or attack her as a whole for what she is. Though there is some mental anguish over giving up her dream of finding Nirvana and becoming human again. She is beginning to believe she can be happy here, and live a normal enough life despite being a demon.

To this end she is learning to cook and making 'friends', and casually working out her relationship with Roland while settling in with her tribe. There is a lot she doesn't know about the world, but she is patient and willing to learn, and despite her aggressive tendencies toward people who anger her, plans to be careful not to ruin this situation by allowing a war to start between her Tribe and all the humans. Argilla can be found around Boy's 18 if she is home. Otherwise she may turn up anywhere in camp, as she is curious about a world with trees and wildlife everywhere, and will likely spend much time exploring and introducing herself to campers.
